Since the dissolution of Clan Li and execution of its principals, cadet descendents have sought to restore the fortunes of the family. The Charen-Li branch was formed through the merger of Li Resource Development Ltd. and Charen Holdings.

While there has not been a Charen on the board of the Charen-Li organization in decades, the family insists that Charen interests are being well looked after.
