After graduating from Hedion University's Exploration Division, Cato found himself with massive student debt and a constricting, low paying space exploration field. Unable to use his degree for anything useful, he decided to invest all of his savings into his life dream of opening a space trucking company.

Wanting to create a good-natured, easy-going corporation for all space truckers, Cato's dreams, once again, dashed against the sharp rocks of reality. Constantly harrased by larger logistics companys, Trigs, and pirates his space trucking company soon fell into debt.

Worse, Cato had angered King Khanid II with his desire for moderate reform. Needing to make himself scarce to the court, he relocated to the system of Kahah which is somewhat remote, but still in his beloved Khanid.

Somewhat bittered by life, Cato started a new, more serious corporation of Khanid contractors using his still very influtential contacts throughout the Khanid Kingdom's various agencies.

After saving one of the King's favorite space yachts on a mission, he found himself back in favor. The King decided his skills would be better off being used for him, so he placed Cato in charge of a new royal space agency created to help keep tax revenue flowing in.
