This particular odd individual has taken a liking to the moniker "Shiny Monkey." It is believed to have originated from an ancient form of media known as either "anime" or "manga," though historians cannot be certain. This appelation seems to refer to an individual who was forced to reinvent technology after discovering his world had reverted to an approximate Stone Age level of development, and an interior monolog while observing three local primates who watched his actions.

This highly unusual form of ancient entertainment, coupled with his pun-heavy sense of humor, caused him to be at odds with his fellow students. Though he did well academically, his social calendar left much to be desired for most employers. Undaunted, he struck his own trail and found camraderie with the aptly-named Misfits.
