He was raised by foster parents and only ever retained very few memories of his biolocal mother, mostly just one memory. Her pink zilk dress, flowing and shiny, the smell of gassimine flower, the coarse redness of her hair... Now Hans spends his time mining asteroids and removing blood thirsty pirates from the systems he frequents for trading, finding use for himself out amongst a million million stars dancing to their own tune.
