Born on the mining world of Ouranienen III - a world blatantly ravaged by unfettered capitalism - Kaeranos Cyllax was a stalwart idealist on a planet that ground such ideals down. She very quickly became disillusioned with the situation, and found herself attracted to the closest thing the State has to a heresy - the Old Communalism of Caldari Prime. Yet, even as she quietly revolted against the Caldari system, she climbed the ranks of her classes, earning a scholarship to the Uitra State War Academy. It took much of her parents' finances to fund her tuition, but Kaeranos did not squander that gift. She developed a reputation as a principled fighter up until the very moment you proved anathema to her goals - at that point, all bets were off.
Communications between Suukuvestaa Intelligence and SWA officials indicate some level of conflict over her entrance into the capsuleer program, given her proclivities towards anti-State ideologies, but the War Academy won out, and Kaeranos entered the capsuleer program.
Upon exiting the Uitra training programs, Kaeranos did odd jobs across the Cluster, from hunting down pirate holds to shipping ore across constellations. These led her to encounter a Wiyrkomi official, Tuoma Jantuhiro, with whom she formulated a mercenary company that would operate across the cluster. Offering itself as a 'moral alternative' to such corporations as Mordu's Legion or the Big 8's police forces, Jantuhiro and Cyllax have carved out a small niche for themselves, sandwiched between mercenarism and public relations.
Her ideologies make her unpalatable as State propaganda, but her drive cannot be denied. A drive that dragged her and her family out of poverty and mediocrity, and has far further goals in her sights.
