Many of the best players, start with mining. Not because it makes a load of profit, but because its easy to do. If you see me around, ask for a fleet invite, I'm pretty much always flying around in the orca, because it's nice and cozy in here. And if someone tries attacking me, I'll just overheat all my shields.
