Born to an slave family in the heart of Khanid, Sienna lost her parents too early in life during a Blood Raider attack and was left on the care of their family's masters. Despite the negative connotations of slavery the Khalifa family was benevolent and mercifull with their subjects, treating them almost as equals despite the criticism of some of their peers in the kingdom.

The young slave grew up as a servitor to the holding family's first and only child in a relation that was almost sibling like, playing, studying and lecturing the scriptures together to the joy of the parents and the disgust of others. Sienna was Minmatar in blood, but she was Khanid in spirit and when the young master joined the royal navy she stayed in the house to take care of the elder masters.

She continued her studies while serving in the family house until disaster finally struck. A Sansha Incursion attacked their home system, ransacking the manor and hunting down whatever human subjects they could catch. with no place to hide Sienna and her masters went offworld along with some of the remaining servitors and slaves only to find themselves persecuted by one of the Sansha ships.

They would have become a different kind of slaves if not because of a response fleet and the young master who had returned quickly with his personal crew after hearing the news. however the Sansha forces were closing on the group, and the single combat ship they had wouldnt be able to protect them.

After a short discussion the elder masters decided to do the unthinkable and via some personal contacts they were able to call on a smuggling transport, It was evident only one part of the group would be able to make its escape. The slaves were emancipated and asked to get into the transport to be released in Minmatar territory.

Some of them refused and decided to stay by the side of the family to their last breath while others gave their last reverences and gratitudes to the Khalifa before boarding the escape ship. Sienna stood on the side of the loyalists but her masters refused to let her stay.

The young master and his parents reached up and embraced her, giving their gratitude for the services rendered and the time spent with them, She had earned the right to bear the name, not as property or as servitor but as part of the family and for that she needed to leave, they would defend the escape to the very end.

And so Sienna Khalifa entered the Minmatar Republic.
