Bio
Among Jacob Zenevan's collection of indentured capsuleers, WHYDOI NEEDANAME occupies a uniquely pitiful position. Stripped not only of freedom but of identity itself, this Minmatar pilot exists in a state of such profound degradation that even fellow slaves maintain their distance. His designation—a cruel joke by Jacob rather than a proper name—reflects his status as less than human in the eyes of his master and peers alike.
His incompetence in his assigned duties is legendary throughout Jacob's operation. The planetary extraction facilities under his management consistently operate at 60% efficiency at best, with frequent equipment failures attributed to his inability to follow basic maintenance protocols. When tasked with activating cyno fields, he manages to regularly miscalculate jump coordinates by several astronomical units, forcing Jacob's fleet to make humiliating secondary jumps to reach their destinations.
Three separate jump freighters have sustained hull damage due to his improper beacon placement near celestial objects. His fumbling attempts at mining yield ore contaminated with such high levels of impurities that refineries must be recalibrated after processing his shipments.
The only reason Jacob maintains his services at all is the perverse entertainment value his failures provide during corporate gatherings, where recordings of his most spectacular mistakes are played for the amusement of guests. The neural compliance implants visible at his temples are noticeably more extensive than those of his fellow captives, yet even these advanced systems seem incapable of improving his performance.
Fellow slaves avoid association with him not merely out of disdain but from fear that his incompetence might be contagious—or worse, that they might be assigned to assist in his doomed endeavors. During the rare occasions when he successfully completes a task, the other slaves regard the event with such suspicion that investigations are launched to determine who actually performed the work.
