Raised in a remote space region of Gallante Federation, Ophilia joined the Gallente Navy and became a destroyer captain at age of 22 to fight pirates that consistently harassing supply routes during war with Caldari. Ophilia barely survived her first, and the only, battle when a large fleet of pirates ambushed a small Gallentean patrol fleet near Agaullores. The patrol fleet was taken by surprise and with no chance to win. Fleet commander, panicked, cowardly runaway and left their subordinates to their fates.

Ophilia, with the highest rank in the fleet at the time, became an acting commander by necessity, without any experience.

Despite being able to inflict heavy damage to the pirate fleet, outnumbered by the pirates, eventually the patrol fleet met it destruction. Ophilia was the only one who survived the massacre by hiding in a shutter inside her destroyer's wreck and escape undetected, traumatize by what happened, quit the Navy afterward.

Now Ophilia, greatly suffered from trauma caused by tragic event, having partially mental illness.
