Rain Lunam was born to the void— January 10th, 2019. From his earliest days as a capsuleer, he was drawn to the edges of known space. He set a course to the stars as soon as he could, and soon discovered the true nature of New Eden. Through trials and struggles that untold newbros fail to overcome, Rain became a combat explorer with a reputation for fearlessness and curiosity in equal measure.
After countless solo ventures through Catch a region known as a hotbed of combat and piracy, Rain joined the Brave Collective, a nullsec alliance known for bold hearts and unshakable camaraderie. Among the sprawling territory and fierce small gang skirmishes of Brave's Standing Fleet, he found purpose—and the friends and firepower to back up his daring. Whether diving into lethal grids or spearheading recon in anti-wormholer operations, Rain’s name became synonymous with daring precision and aggression under fire.
But everything changed on a quiet patrol in V-3YG7.
Deep within a wormhole unlike any he had scouted, Rain stumbled upon a spatial rift—more alien than anything even the Drifters had touched. It pulsed with chaotic energy, violating the laws of New Eden’s physics. Before he could transmit his findings, a ship burst forth: battle-scarred, unmistakably advanced, and entirely foreign -The Rocinante.
Onboard were survivors of a war not his own: James Holden, ever the idealist captain; Naomi Nagata, fiercely intelligent and wary of trust; Amos Burton, silent and imposing with a loyalty few dared to earn; Carmina Drummer, hardened by loss but sharp as a blade; Clarissa Mao, seeking redemption across the stars; Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Draper, a Martian powerhouse with a soldier’s honor; and Alex Kamal, the soulful pilot who brought calm to the storm.
