The choice...
We never heard from anyone that had saved up enough to become a capsuleer. I never understood why until I had saved up and bought the procedure.
Before, the world felt more full, somehow, infinite. Now there is just the vast emptiness of space, and the infrequent buzz of a comm signal. I made the choice to become a capsuleer because I was growing old and dying. Mortality had taught me all the lessons it could. I'd spent a thankless lifetime as a corrections officer and saved up every isk. They turned back time on my body, then they killed me.

Waking up....
The air felt cold, dead. The cold steel table didn't bite as it would have with my real body. My vision and hearing were much more keen, however, they felt slightly off. Almost electronic, like a high dollar simulation, but never ending.
I'm told that will wear off and I'll start to feel normal when I get used to my new life. Infinite space, no lasting consequences, no disease, no old age. Who wouldn't make that choice?
My enhanced brain thirsts for knowledge, and I feel a sense of anxiety about leaving civilization altogether. The edge of the galaxy, null, they call it. A place of infinite wealth, and equally infinite risk. No law exists other than corporate laws. The goal of so many new capsuleers, the place where i discovered just how horrifying immortality can be.

Direction...
Through multiple encounters, only one truth seems to remain. The person with the most isk makes the rules.
Something about becoming immortal turns people cold, uncaring. Most capsuleers fit the definition for sociopath perfectly, but it runs far deeper. I can't tell if it takes a certain kind of crazy to become what we are, or if the process does it to us. Regardless, the vast expanse of space only becomes more dangerous as time passes. Space stations filled with millions of humans are blown up, nobody blinks.

My turn...
Experiencing immortality has given me a new perspective, and a keen drive to carve out my own section of space. The current paradigm produces soulless mass murderers and thieves, Through the application of ancient philosophy and religion, a new path forges itself.
The path of a Titan.
