Born on a hostile, unknown planet, Centrum was captured and sold into slavery when he was 4. Bought by a wealthy merchant who, due to radiation exposure, couldn't have children of his own, noticed the raw intelligence of this young, unnamed slave, renamed him Centrum, and decided to educate him and raise him as his foster son. On his death bed, The wealthy merchant told Centrum the truth, and turned over his fleet of ships to the 19 year old.
Centrum ran his fleet of ships for profit, and made a name for himself as a young up and comer to watch, but his first love was speed runs, which appealed to his overdeveloped need to win. One day, he met Melody, another pilot who also had that same fire in her eyes, and it was love at first sight. They were immediately inseperable, and married 18 months later. They wound up having 2 sons, Caspar and Calais.
Centrum wanted Melody to retire from racing, but there was no way to cage a tiger without destroying its spirit, so Centrum relented, despite his fear and misgivings. Melody eventually participated in one race too many, and her ship vanished in warp space mid race, leaving no trace.
The investigation showed the ships warp drive had been intentionally sabotaged.
Once Centrum got over his grief, he spared no expense to find out who was responsible, and once found, Centrum, personally tracked down every ship, clone and base. Then, he and his men destroyed them all simultaneously, permanently killing the guilty party.
Centrum raised his two sons on his own, unwilling to ever experience that same crushing pain and loss again, Now, Centrum and his two sons run a shipping empire of growing significance, while mining, ratting, and salvaging their way to fame and fortune.
Centrum, never satisfied, is always looking for ways to increase his wealth, find new ways to compete, conquer, and win...but most of all, continue his search for Melody.
