Cmdr Michael 'Silverback' Collingwood
The legendary hero Mike first saw service as a foot solider on the frontlines of Caldari Prime as a contracted mercenary where he single handedly sabotaged an enemy cloning facilty and rescued 19 Caldari Marines of the 24th Tactical Response Regiment.
He was then Recruited by the Caldari Special Forces and Formed his own unit with those very soliders he rescued, achieving the Rank of Captain in his first year of Service to the state his unit codenamed FOXHOUND comprised of 4 python class Assault dropships and 20 marines that were tasked with covert black ops missions in order to combat the growing insurrgency of the Gallante terrorist regime.
During his most notorious mission the skirmish of Grinacanne Gallante forces had ambushed and captured a convoy of Caldari Supplies and Diplomats moving through the border zone. Capt. Mike Collingwoods unit was tasked with the hostage rescue operation, his Unit FOXHOUND was outnumbered 5 to 1 by the Gallante terrorist groups and the intelligence fortress was heavily defended. So the young Captain made the decision to complete the operation by himself as to not put his unit and men in harms way, Using the lastest in Prototype Caldari Infantry technology he had constructed a Heavy Armour Dropsuit capable of cloaking and deploying a heavy personal shield. Mike single handily E.V.A from the fleet and infiltrated the fortress rescued the diplomats and destroyed the base. This earned him the nickname 'Silverback' for the bright chrome of his Heavy Armour Dropsuit and Assault Forge gun used to clear the base.
Years after the end of the 'DUST 514' initative FOXHOUND was disbanded due to the Gallante and Caldari war escalating the need of infantry and covert operations increased as did the need for large fleet engagements Mike was promoted to Strike Commnader and given command of his own Chimera Class Carrier The Artemius
The Veteran Cmdr now undertakes the most dangerous covert missions and fleet engaements for the State Protecterate, and is currently attached to state protectorate military operations in the r
