Nikolas Shi grew up never wanting for anything. The third of five children, his parents were both active in Caldari social and political circles. They provided for Nikolas, but for the most part ignored him. They considered his destiny to already be written out, so found no reason to waste their precious time on him. Other than the scandal it caused, they barely noticed when he slipped away and signed on for the State War Academy.
