I run a town. The families on my battleship pray before each engagement. Children grow up to serve me. Taxes are collected every month and people vote in their own communities. Most capsuleers dont take the extra people but i am not most. Each man woman and child on my ship are my family. Every time a bar sells a beer or a shop sells a meal it reminds me why i must make it through each battle. I risk their lives every day and they trust me to protect them. Some of them are refugees, some are adventurous civilians, some were criminals, each just as important as the next. I have a town inside of me. It reminds me why i do what i do. I would cry but they need me to be something better. Stronger. I watch them enter port and i dont leave until each member of my crew is accounted for. I cant give up, neither can they. They get me my ammunition, food, equip me, some days i forget i have this body, some days.... i am just a ship.
