Bio
EvelynnSiztperglass stood at the edge of her command deck, eyes locked on the endless dark. Below, the Moon, sprawled in silence, its surface scarred by the relentless hunger of her mining fleets. To most, it was celestial history, a relic of wonder. To Evelynn, it was something simpler: profit—cold, unyielding, and abundant.
Yet, as she gazed upon the Moon, something stirred. This was different from the asteroids, the Ice Belts, even the Gas Giants she had stripped bare. This place was closer to Earth, to the past she had buried beneath pragmatism and steel. A place once called home, though she barely remembered what that meant.
She exhaled, dismissing the thought. Sentiment had no place in her trade.
Turning from the window, she strode toward the control panel, fingers gliding over commands. Engines thrummed, machinery stirred, and the work pressed on. The Moon was just another conquest, another line on a ledger.
The drills screamed to life, echoing through the hull. Evelynn turned from the viewport, her silhouette sharp against the stars.
Here—now—something felt finished.
“Power down the rigs,” she said quietly.
The order hung in the air, strange and final.
For once, Evelynn walked away—not because there was nothing left to take, but because she had finally taken enough.
