'The name Helden may be familiar to any industrialists amongst you, and there's a fair chance that some of your plants contain pipes, valves and connectors bearing that name on them. Yes, Corin's family have been involved in industry for many, many generations.

It was alway assumed that Corin, as our eldest son, would follow my husband's footsteps to become an executive in Helden industries, and he was brought up with that invevitable career ahead of him. He showed an intuitive grasp of numbers and had a natural grace and charm that would have stood him well in negotiations and deals. However, at the age of 13, an accident in a workshop nearly cost Corin his life. His head was severely injured, and having survived, against the odds, he spent many months having mulitple skin grafts to rebuild his face. His hair was never grown back to his satisfaction, and when he was 15 he had his patchy growth entirely removed, and a curious gingery layer of Plasnogro\xae permanent hair implanted, requiring no further attention for the rest of his life.

The curious hair and lack of any eyelashes or eyebrows contributed to a somewhat surreal look, enhanced by his piercing ice blue eyes. He grew distant from his family and school friends, and at some unknown point he set his sights on becoming a capsuleer. His mother declared that surviving the accident had changed her 'little boy', and he was determined to become immortal, and a capsuleer seemed like the right step on that path.

And so at age 19 he had barely started the training towards that aim, when yet another freak accident propelled him into capsuleer status. His family are bitter about the events that have lead our son into the depths of space, but we will always stay in touch with, and care for, our eldest son, Corin Helden.'
