As the youngest son of an old Amarr family, Gobelin followed the well trodden path into the Military Academy and the Amarrian Navy. A series of boyish japes involving family retainers in pilfered uniforms forming totally bogus promotion boards saw Gobelin become the youngest Captain in the Amarrian Navy at the age of 22. However, things unravelled fast during the Court of Enquiry into the Belcher Incident. The fake records created by Hamsterlode's talented bookkeeper did not hold up under Imperial scrutiny, and the scandalous nature of the fabricated Belcher mission led to a young Gobelin being discharged from the Navy,
Gobelin's second career in the Church fared little better, an initial meteoric rise through the Church hierarchy using well-tried methods.... and better record-keeping, saw him promoted Abbess in charge of the hallowed St. Vitus Academy for Young Gentlewomen. A series of scandals involving wild parties, alchohol poisoning, and drug abuse got Gobelin defrocked at a speed that set new records in the Amarrian Church, an institution generally accepted to evolve at a glacial pace.
He now acts as janitor and spiritual advisor to Boss Hixes morally bankrupt congregation of evil-smelling reprobates.
