Born on the outer reachers of Lonetrek into a mom and pop salvage business, the Melons sisters enjoyed a happy childhood. Sadly all of that changed one day when a swarm of Ventures, piloted by miners gone insane from rotten implants, descended upon the Melons family asteroid home and engaged their mining lasers. Only the sisters survived the carnage.

Having witnessed their parents death at the hands of miners, the Melons sisters swore eternal blood vengeance. No Venture would know peace. When the sisters heard of a Man from Halaima gathering followers to launch a crusade against the miner, the bot-aspiriant and the carebear, it was only natural that the sisters would join His Great Cause, swearing to enforce His Code.

While her sister Jenny Melons takes care of the financial side of the operation, Katy Melons focuses on carrying out revenge, one Venture at a time. The sight of her ship, The Herald of James 315, strikes fear into miners across New Eden
