Bio
Oberon Gaterau was born on Gallente Prime in the Luminaire system, raised in Caille among the Federation’s ideals of liberty, democracy, and artistic expression. Descended from early Gallentian settlers, he grew up believing that freedom is both a gift and a responsibility. Drawn to starships from an early age, he studied political science and starship engineering at the University of Caille, embracing the Gallente blend of intellect and innovation.
His early naval career saw him piloting the Tristan, mastering blaster combat and drone coordination before advancing to cruisers like the Thorax. Oberon earned a reputation for tactical insight and a willingness to challenge convention. Yet his loyalty to the Federation was tempered by realism; he witnessed both its prosperity and the inequality beneath its liberal markets. Campaigns against Caldari forces sharpened his worldview, teaching him that ideals must survive contact with harsh realities.
Becoming a capsuleer transformed his path. Immortal and independent, he operated across New Eden while still carrying the Federation’s values. His travels took him from Intaki’s mountains to the warzones of Black Rise, always guided by authenticity and loyalty.
In time, Oberon’s journey carried him far from the Federation’s core and into The Kalevala Expanse, a Null‑Sec frontier where sovereignty is earned through grit and fire. There he joined The Rejected, a rising faction determined to carve out a home of their own. Among them, Oberon found renewal — a place where strength mattered more than pedigree, and where a pilot could redefine himself beyond empire borders.
Life in the Expanse reshaped him. He ran with fleets, fought for territory, and turned rogue drone infestations into opportunity, honing his craft in the dangerous anomalies scattered across the region. In this harsh frontier, Oberon discovered not only purpose but legacy. He became father to Aetheron, a son born of capsuleer blood and planetary grace, a symbol of continuity in a world defined by destruction and rebirth.
