As a Diplomatic Officer in another Sci-Fi MMO, I once led a band of over 50 players, handling foreign relations, organizing elections and hosting group defense-training exercises to facilitate the existence of a viable, democratically-operated Alliance named The Federation. In addition to drafting our own bill of Member Rights and ratifying a player-created Constitution, The Federation was engaged in active Diplomatic discourse with smaller player organizations, and through negotiation we managed to convince several smaller Alliances to join our ranks. In time, the majority of our members were from absorbed alliances, and several of these new players succesfully ran for executive offices. After establishing an organized academy and entry process to help train and place new recruits, I announced my intent to retire. After holding a referendum to elect my successor, I have retired from that MMO, and am looking to begin again in New Eden.
