Born in YC 98 to a rich Achuran family, Aegira is well-known among her peers for her impulsive personality and love of spaceflight. These two traits landed her in hot water in YC 118, when she was involved in a high-speed spacecraft collision as a result of a Microwarpdrive malfunction. With no other options left to save her, Aegira's family paid an exorbitant amount of money for a scan to be taken of her brain, thus transforming her into the first Capsuleer of her family's line.

This effective immortality did little to deter her from attempting more death-defying feats and deadly endeavours: the ding of her Neocom followed by the cold rush of death are sensations that she knows only too well. In recent years, Aegira has mellowed, founding and taking up a CEO position at Ketar Dynamics, a research-based technology corporation, intended to bridge the technological divide between capsuleers and regular people of New Eden.
