"Like Prometheus before me, all I ever wanted to do was help mankind. It is a common misconception that my goal was to corrupt or destroy them. All I did was open their eyes to the universe around them. I was the tickle in their ear every step of the way, whispering what COULD be. It was always up to them to decide what SHOULD be. Some do not want to take responsibility for their actions and so blame me. They curse and spit at my very name, but I care not. Ungrateful? Inept? Corrupt? Sure. But the ones I really can't understand, the ones who have truly failed to grasp my purpose, are the worshipers. All of the bowing and begging for validation gets tiring. Just once I'd like to meet a man who approached me as though an equal. In my vision this man will firmly grasp my hand while looking into my eyes and just say, 'Thank you.'
