Thoughts scamper through the mind;
tempted back with the promise of words
to multiply them amoung the many,
and deeds to grant substance and form.

Words:

words can be lost on the tongue,
or ill conceived spat forth premature;
unready to cross the vacuum;
misconstrued and misunderstood,
failing before they reach an inquisitive ear.

Intentions:

A sea of distractions batter from all sides
winds of desire threaten to topple.
goals pass by as effective as shadows in the dark.
All this before we can begin.

Acts:

Growth, motion, action;
gives life to what lacked;
solidity where before lay dreams;
built on the fortifcations of hope.
