Mining 101:
1. When in the belt, move away from the entry point; get closer to the asteroids to avoid being bumped.
2. Always be aligned to your jump point; also, set it as your destination as a backup.
3. If attacked by a player, leave your drones and run; they aren't worth it.
4. Retrieve your drones before you warp.
5. If solo mining, take combat drones to cover belt rats; if they aren't an issue, take mining.
6. If in a fleet, see if the combat drones are covered by the fleet so you can take mining drones. Don't wory about ore types, just clear out the belt.
7. Each mining module should target a different asteroid.
8. Every miner has a specific design purpose; play to its strengths.
9. If someone is using an Orca or Rorqual to help you mine, tip the pilot. Their character isn't making ISK and is helping you make ISK faster.
10. Keep Local chat open; that helps you see if any hostiles enter the system. Use vocal chat!
11. Don't mine during a war!
