.......and as the fox reached the middle of the deep river, he felt a sting on the back of his neck and realized too late that the scorpion had stung him.

As his limbs froze and he starting sinking beneath the cold waters he cried out to the scorpion "why did you sting me? for now we shall both drown!"


As he too, sank to his doom, the scorpion replied bitterly "better we both perish than my enemy lives!"......
