Powerful and steadfast, Jameson was given command of security forces on Colony Spacestation Lynux at the age of 15. Excelling in leadership and diplomacy, he continued to receive the respect and gratitude of Lynux's colonists. When a visiting millionaire was held hostage on the spacestation, Jameson peacefully talked the criminals into releasing her and turn themselves in. When Jameson was mocked by a local media for always relying on diplomacy instead of force he simply said, "On my signal, the snipers would have finished them off."

The grateful millionaire, so impressed with Jameson's skills, gave him one of her older ships to command. Jameson had no problems filling the crew to full capacity. The hostage criminals were the first to join. One reason because it was the sentence passed on them by the colony's judicial committee (Of which Jameson had a strong influence). The other was their strong desires to personally serve under Jameson's command.
