Daivey was born on a mining vessel near Caldari Prime. He was put to work at a young age and quickly learned the secrets of the mining trade. On one of his first solo adventures, Daivey met Captain John "Rocks" Maddison at a noisy dive bar in Old Man Star (a once bussling system, now a backwater trailer park). Rock's who had been down on his luck was finishing up his 9th Quafe Ultra (abv 10%) and was getting quite rowdy with the Bartender.... Daivey interjected, noting the annoyance in the barkeeps face, and offered Rock's a drink. They shared heroic mining operations that they had been a part of, and hit it off quickly. .

They became great friends and business partners and eventually made it to the big leagues with a massive contract offered by Deep Core Mining Inc.

In a quiet pocket in Syndicate, the dynamic duo had found a hidden ore deposit like none other, a Crokite deposit the likes had never been seen. Unbeknownst to them, a sensor array installed by the Serpentis federation alerted a passing Shadow Commander's fleet to their presence. And in short time Rock's and Daivey's mining ship was under fire.

As the ship took critical damage, Rock's pushed Daivey into the escape pod and jettisoned the pod. As Daivey's pod floated away from the ship, the Hulk's massive thrusters engaged with maximum force. The Hulk quickly picked up speed, while Daivey watched in horror, he realized what Rock's had done, the ship's autopilot was engaged and the destination was the Shadow commanders bridge.

Moments later the ships collided, the Hulk's main reactor blew and the Shadow Commander was no more. Daivey mourned his friend, but knew that Rock's saved his life.
From that day forth, Daivey changed his last name to Crokite to remind him of his heroic friends fate while chasing Crokite ore.

Years later, Daivey can be found visiting the same watering hole in Old Man Star, reminising the glory days and telling aspiring miners his war stories.
