Battling depression,
rattling the bars of this cage my perception,
shattering myself misplaced rage and aggression,
the grand deception, question
not the self learn the lesson
reality beckons
its external, infernal fires of greed and empires
eternal desire turned to internal choir
voices inside that drive the mind wild beguiled by style
in denial of truth
proof?
ive never been free, whatever that means,
i chase another mans dreams
staring at screens
living vicariously
deluded, thoughts polluted,
no longer my own, just a drone
i unknowingly condone this control of my destiny,
working incessantly to make that fantasy a reality,
depressingly believing the mantra that is beaten into me,
relentlessly:
