"In 2003, t0rfiFrans, Lead Artist of CCP Games at that time, was chatting in a CSM chat along with some devs and reps from the player community.
He showed up as a Jove character to give people a glimpse of how Joves look, as the modelling and shading of the Jove Modifier character was recently finished.
While chatting, he decided to undock (on TQ) from the station he was in and was approached by the player Saruu. He asked what a Jove was doing there and t0rfiFrans role-played the Jove for a while.
At the end of the session Saruu was given a souvenir from his Jove encounter, a mining laser (The Nieblung Mining laser) from the ship, as it was the “newbie” Jove frigate and t0rfiFrans thought it was available as a rare loot drop anyway. But it was tech level 5 and extremely powerful."
