As time begins to slow down, the realization of its passing becomes clear. As I sit facing the window, I can hear the footsteps getting closer and the sharp crack of wood striking against the floor. Mind racing, pain flowing as Dawn fast approaches.
A shudder runs through as an outstretched hand caresses my cheek. The figure moves along side of me with another tremendous staff strike to the floor. My head raised toward the rising sun. A glimpse of a day not lost, of time never passed. The dark shrouded figure reached out to support my drained form. The trials have finally ended. Time no longer chained my existance. A new era has begun, another Immortal reborn.
