Jan is the son of a capital ship systems engineer and a medical op. His parents enrolled him in the Centre for Advanced Studies to challenge his mental capacities. He breezed through and upon graduation decided to earn some ISK as a miner to further his education.
He soon got the hang of mining in the old family's Rustbucket and bought a new ship, Miner49er, Despite being attacked by pirates on a fairly regular basis, he earned enough cash to further his studies in engineering. Eventually he was hired by the Killer Koalas and proudly calls himself a NUKKA, although he now works with a long time friend who left the Killer Koalas to form his own corporation.
