The Book of Amarrian Armaments (Chapter 2, verses 9-21):

Then did he fly on high the Holy Apoc of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy."

And the people did rejoice. Now did the Lord say, "First thou lockest thy foe. Then thou must count to nine. Nine shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be nine. Ten shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count eight, excepting that thou then proceedeth to nine. Eleven is right out. Once the number nine, being the number of the counting, be reached, then Firest thou the Holy Apoc's Beams in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
