set standards... i have always had a problem with them. they promote dependance and narrowminded-ness by having people believe ONLY set standards are correct or effective.in most cases this IS true but you can never predict everything from a set standard. standards are what powerful people set for mediocar peopel who cant or wont think for themselves.

if someone else set or ordered it on standard procedure you can bet your life i will make my own decision with fair consideration before blindly following a standard

however orders are orders and i pride myself on knowing exactly what to do in any situation so that no-one has to tell me what to do. i extend the same expectation to others aswell, if there are standards you should know them so that people who only use standards become predictable... predictability is not always good
