Originally from a low class background, Calisimar enrolled from a young age in the Caldari armed forces. Starting as little more than a ground pounder his talents were first revealed during a ground assault mission in which he managed to pilot down the drop shuttle despite heavy ground fire and the temporary loss of air superiority. Following the suggestion of his superior officer, Calisimar used his bonus money to enroll in the State War Academy as a pilot. He studied assiduously and soon had graduated into his first ship.

Calisimar went on to perform well as an contract pilot for the Caldari state, to whom he still feels he owes his current status. He tried joining up with other corporations but was disappointed by their lack of commitment to any cause and soon left them to their own devices. Since then he has been an independant operator, creating his own corporation; General Services Ltd, though he still hopes to one day find a suitable corporate home with other pilots.
