Not much is known about where Aloishius was born. He was found as an infant in an escape pod on the edge of the Golgathan Fields, and spent most of his youth doing odd jobs aboard the same Minmatar exploration fleet that had found him.

When he reached the age of 14, the fleet's Commander pulled some strings and landed Aloishius a spot at the Minmatar Military Academy.. Halfway through his second year, he learned the exploration fleet had disappeared somewhere in The Cauldron. Leaving his studies behind, Aloishius set out for the last known location of the people he had come to see as family. After 6 years of searching, he found a single piece of the hull from the fleet's command ship.

Taking the scrap to a contact among the Sisters of Eve, Aloishius discovered the ship had fallen prey to pirates. Though his findings prompted the Minmatar Republic to declare the fleet KIA, he never gave up hope that he would find a survivor.
