I was in the US Navy for almost 25 years. After I retired, I started a second career doing Finance and Insurance. I never took it too seriously, and would roll into the office 10-20 minutes late pretty much every day. Finally, one day the boss called me into the office for a chat.

He said, "I have to tell you, I like your work ethic, you do a top class job, but you're being late so often is giving the younger workers a bad impression."

I replied, "Yes, I realise that, sir, and I'll make a better effort."

He said, "I'm pleased to hear that, you are a team player. It's odd though, you're coming in late. I know you're retired from the Navy. What did they say if you came in late there?"

I replied, "They said, "Good morning Admiral"
