Wendsel trained at the State War Academy with every expectation of becoming a high ranking military official. However, during his tenure with the Academy, Wendsel's military aspirations became eclipsed by the lucrative potential he saw in mining and other industrial endeavours. Though planning to put his military training to good use in the future, Wendsel decided to use his Deties inhereted efficiency and work ethic to found the Diamonds in the Rough Mining Guild. When mining alone would not satiate his desire for wealth, Wendsel and his assosiates expanded their operations and rechristened the corporation Diamonds in the Rough Enterprises. With high hopes of making his corporation a strong influence in New Eden, Wendsel continues to hone his management skills to advance the cause of the Caldari State and his personal wealth and power.
