Sent to the Juvenile Annex for Advanced Studies at the age of six for a normal, liberal Gallente education and indoctrination, Shrike soon displayed an unusual and outstanding prediliction towards tactical comprehension. As a result, she was selected through a classified government program to undergo rigorous training at the Valkyrie Girls Academy.
Along with a crushing load of high-level schoolwork, the Academy occasionally subjected its students to secret psychic screenings as part of a shadow-program in connection with the Gallente Navy. The goal was to locate talented pilots with an abnormal level of higher-brain functions that might interface with their ships in a manner above and beyond normal capsuleers.
Though designated for further training, Shrike rebelled, fled Gallente space, and enlisted with the Caldari Navy, her objectives unknown.
