Yestin Bertol entered the Center for Advanced Studies with the intention of seeing to the continuation and expansion of his family business. After being identified as a Capsule candidate, his ambitions rose and he began expanding his own manufacturing and ship rigging business.

Aquiring some Capsuleer planetary management ventures, Yestin moved his base of operations to the Stacmon system and surrounding stars where he joined up with the UIF corporation. UIF had many mining operations and skirmishes with capsuleer pirate corporations, until weariness overtook the UIF and Yestin was left in charge by default.

Leaving Stacmon to volunteer in the Minmatar Republic Liberations Force, Yestin brought Gallante know-how to the brave Minmatar fleet.
