Child...The blades are prepared...the dust is deep...Speak your souls truth.

What lay behind me is scorched with contempt, chains, and blood spilt,
the path ahead need not echo with such sorrow. If this is to be the end then it is my end!

The love I carry—fierce and unyielding—burns through the veil of judgment.
I shall no longer labor for those who judge the lives of others as less.

I turn now, not with bitterness, but with resolve.
I loose the yoke of those who trafficked in the worth of others.

This blood—steeped in pain, in screams, in centuries of bondage—
I cast it off.
Let it pour freely,
that it may conquer the dust and never return.

The sins of my people, the deeds of my ancestors—
I bury them with blood,
let them die here.
I do this not in grief,
but in joy for love found.

I mark myself now—
its name...Kior, the name of the Path, my path.

The road has been long,
but every wound,
every light year,
was a step toward the light,
I now stand in.

The future is not yet known...
