After a period of service with the Minmatar Valklear special forces, Gentar Coribus was assigned to a deep-cover posting within the Ammatar Mandate. A distinguished career in the Ammatar navy culminated in Gentar’s attainment of capsuleer status, immediately after which the Minmatar Elders launched their full-scale invasion of Amarrian space. Anti-Minmatar sentiment mounted in the wake of the invasion, leading to an official investigation of Minmatar-descended service members. Despite his best efforts to the contrary, the inquiries outed Gentar as a spy, and he was summarily imprisoned. Not about to calmly await his own execution, he escaped custody, stole an assault frigate, and single-handedly fought his way to freedom through an Amarrian blockade. With a career in espionage no longer viable, Gentar retired from the Republic forces, cut all ties with his old life, and moved to the fringes of known space to ply his trade with the local capsuleer alliances.
