Xen took over as the Kumicho for Akuma Industries after his father, Jin Akuma, experienced natural death from Derj's disease. At the time Akuma Industries was still a small industrial operation operating out of Everyshore. Through Xen's crafty negotiation skills, he was able to manuver the corporation into some large scale federal arms contracts, which resulted in rapid growth.

Over many years, Xen continued to expand Akuma Industries, increasing its reach from Everyshore to The Forge. This expansion led to Akuma products being found across New Eden, often with a skilled clone piloting them.

With the growth in scale came more riches than Xen could spend in many lifetimes, and his desire to slow down and live a little took hold. He started the process of handing of Kumicho control to his son, Drix Akuma, and began focusing on his real passion ... sushi. While the transition will still be going on for many years, most official duties have fallen to Drix, and Xen can often be found making succulent sushi rolls at Akuma Sushi Bar.
